Meet Heather Weinshank, one of our fabulous Keep Mahjing On instructors whose joy and energy light up every table she teaches. Heather first learned to play Mahjong in the summer of 2024 and was instantly hooked. What began as a fun new hobby quickly turned into a true passion - one that she now loves sharing with new players across our community.

Heather’s favorite part of the game is challenging herself to play different hands each time - she loves that Mahjong always offers something new to learn and master. When she’s teaching, she’s endlessly fascinated by how players think and how each set of tiles comes together into something unique.

Outside the Mahj world, Heather is all about staying active, diving into a great book, and, of course, a little retail therapy. Her philosophy? Every day should include laughter, a game of Mahj, and a little chocolate.

Heather lives in Marlboro, NJ with her family and you can find her at our Mahjong for Beginners lessons throughout the year, where she shares her warmth, smarts, and sparkle with the Keep Mahjing On family!
