In addition to private lessons, Keep Mahjing On offers public group classes through Manalapan Parks & Rec — perfect for anyone looking to learn in a fun, social, and structured environment!

These multi-week courses are ideal for beginners or those looking for a refresher. You’ll learn everything from the basics of the NMJL card and tile recognition to Charleston strategy and open-handed gameplay — all at a comfortable pace.

• 3-session format, 2.5 hours per session

• All materials provided (tiles, mats, cards, and guides)

• Supportive, step-by-step instruction by trained teachers

• Opportunity to meet fellow local Mahj players

• Occasional Refresher workshops for graduates or returning players

Evening classes are held at The Kuschick Pavilion at Manalapan Rec, morning classes are held at a private residence in Manalapan - address provided upon registration.

Evening class registration is through the Manalapan’s Parks & Rec portal. Lessons are open to non-Manalapan residents! Spots are limited and fill up quickly, so grab your seat early!
