Meet Shari Alman, one of our awesome Keep Mahjing On instructors who brings heart, humor, and dance-party energy to every lesson she leads. Shari’s Mahjong journey began about eight years ago after her mom (shoutout to Betty!) encouraged her to learn - and she’s been hooked ever since. Her grandmother would be so proud of the tradition she’s keeping alive!

By day, Shari is a special education teacher specializing in autism, where her patience, creativity, and compassion shine through in everything she does. She’s also the proud co-owner of Party Dreamers NJ, a birthday party company she runs with her best friend - because bringing people joy is kind of her thing! When she’s not teaching, you can usually find her on the dance floor or enjoying her favorite treat: ice cream, any flavor, any time.

Shari lives in Marlboro, NJ with her adoring husband Alex and two kiddos. You can find her at our Mahjong for Beginners lessons throughout the year, where she shares her moves with the Keep Mahjing On family! We’re so lucky to have Shari as part of the Keep Mahjing On community!
